As a Brampton resident with a growing family, I knew firsthand that I needed to prioritize community and road safety throughout my term as Councillor. I remained committed to consistently advocating for safer neighbourhoods through traffic calming measures, speed reduction initiatives, supporting budget lines for first responders, and hosting various neighbourhood meetings with Peel Regional Police that provided patrols and awareness to specific resident concerns. Invested $1.2M on traffic reducing measures in Wards 3 & 4 alone.
Hosted numerous neighbourhood meetings with Wards 3 & 4 residents and Peel Regional Police to identify safety concerns and proactive patrols.
The City invested in Automatic Licence Plate Readers
Created new 40km/hr safety zones in Wards 3 & 4.
Created new Neighbourhood Association Program and grants.
Critical investments were made in frontline policing and emergency response.
- Over 1,000 new police officers, civilian professionals, firefighters and paramedics since 2023.
- Upgrading the 9-1-1 Communications Centre with new technology.
- Expanding Brampton’s physical presence with future divisions (reconstruction of Sir Robert Peel Centre: 22 Division and the new 23 Division).
