Supporting our seniors means ensuring they continue to live active, connected and fulfilling lives in the community they helped build. Over the past 4 years our council has had an ongoing commitment to supporting community connections for seniors as well as healthy, active aging.

Prioritizing accessible recreation programs, safe public spaces, reliable transportation and services that help seniors remain independent and engaged, continues to be a priority for me.

Highlights of my current term include:
In 2025, our Council ensured Brampton was the first municipality in Canada to offer free recreation memberships to residents aged 65 and older.
Renovation of the Flower City Seniors Centre lawn bowling courts was completed.
Implemented free public transit for residents aged 65 and older.
Through various community meetings, we assisted the establishment of numerous new Senior Affiliated Groups within Wards 3 & 4.
Established guidelines to provide free space to senior groups when hosting gatherings or meetings at our recreation centres.
