As Wards 3 & 4 are home to many outdoor parks, trails, community centres, outdoor skating rinks and sports fields, I have continued to ensure that many of these amenities were upgraded over the past 4 years.

Healthy active living for all residents is a priority, and through community feedback we started to include more fitness stations and multipurpose courts to our parks to ensure they serve all community members.

Highlights of my current term include:
Completion of the Memorial Arena renovation.
Made more than 70 park improvements across Wards 3 & 4.
Renovated Susan Fennell Sportsplex to be Net-Zero Carbon Retrofit.
Opened Monkton Circle Park, a six-acre neighbourhood park designed to support everyday recreation and accessible green space.
Collaborated with PDSB to develop the Turner Fenton Cricket Pitch, for both student and community use.
Introduced the new Brampton Recreation app.
Renovated and re-opened the South Fletcher’s Library.
In 2025, our Council ensured Brampton was the first municipality in Canada to offer free recreation memberships to residents aged 65 and older.
Construction of the new Embleton Community Centre (just south of Mississauga Road and Queen) is underway. This state-of-the-art 175,000 sq. ft. multi-use, multi-seasonal facility will serve residents of all ages and abilities and significantly improves access to recreational amenities in Ward 4.
